Shiney Shiney Randy D's Shovel Project

Well we have been hitting it about once a week with a shop day dedicated to my buddie Randys bike..Its started showing some progress today...I got RD's wheels laced and ready for a final truing while Randy was working on the front end.Frame has been sandblasted and powered coated along with the hoops,hubs and misc parts..



Randy got busy on my buffer with the front end parts dirty nasty work but well worth it in the end.

Fresh powder coated hubs and hoops laced with some new chrome spokes...Just what the doctor order......

Some assy after Randy and me rebuilt the front end with all new seals. Randy's polish job looks mighty fine. Trying to get it to roller status and finished up soon after that warm weather is a coming.

Another one Bites the dust....Sunday was help a friend in need day....My good Bud Randy D aquired a late eighties custom job shovelhead. Last fall it was bought by Randy and he has been doing some parts gathering.Well the time has come for it to rise outta of the ashes of 80's leaving kool and the gang,Blondie and all other things eighties behind...I think the plan of attack is a traditional styled resto fl look..Randy D has a pretty good eye for cool so with the help of some friends and his eye it should be a cool scoot....with a timeless look...

And a few hours later we have a frame ready for blasting and a small pile of keeper parts and a big pile of go away parts....

A little Wheelin' Today at Interlake

Well today my buddy Heath,his better half Patty,his father, my daughter and me finally made it down to Interlake.This property is a 3550 acre coal mine that was taken over by the DNA of Indiana.Its open for free sunrise to sunset to fish,hunt or ohv wheeling.The place is just massive and as always we started finding the good trails when its time to go.We had a great day for the first time there with many more places to check out when we return.First time wheeling in the Cherokee and it did great.Just a bit different than my Wrangler but still handled everything like a champ.

Wheelin' ,Muddin',Off roadin',Call it what ya want but its a blast

Went to Haspen Acres on Monday with my buddy Heath and his friend Nate.Heath had been dying to try out his new Cherokee.So it rains like cats and dogs all night Sunday here in Southern Indiana.It was not going to put a damper on the fun though. It was still the plan to go.So it was on like Donkey Kong.We spent the day running the grounds with our young daughters as navigators.
