Wesley's Vicky update #4

This week we find that the molding and finish work has begun on the frontend. Its a slow process I feel like a sculptor.Trying to get everything roughed out shoot a little primer on it and get it to a real filler guy.I love doing the fab work and the paint work. The prep work is better left for others. It takes me longer than most that do it for a living.Next comes filling the door holes were the handles and outer trim has been removed.

Board

Well been hittin it hard the last couple weeks on everyone elses stuff, so I thought I would do me a fun little project to help me get motivated before the pan gets assembled.
Spending time at Wauseon and Davenport makes ya want a board tracker.
Well unless your rich or dad has handed down his great grandpas to you youre problably not gonna get one.
Well I drug out a whizzer style motor I aquired in a deal one time and a skip tooth schwinn from the swap meet.
I am gonna throw me a car show/bike show/swap meet cruiser together with a board track theme.
Most whizzer board track thingies never look right cause the motors are so small and most try to build them to big and they look off proportion wise. Well I am gonna try to stay within the proportions of a bicycle.
Well heres a rough mock up pics from the cell phone.I wacked the top bar out and replaced it with a new one.Seat pan is for looks only gotta hammer out one and make some bars.Gonna try to make the tank tomorrow night. Then buster all down sand blast and fab up the rest of the pieces. My friend Heath should have me some new rolling stock tomorrow as well.
Hope to have it done it 2 weeks for a unvailing at a show....

Wesley's Vickey update....

Been a buzy week and weekend around the shop.Gotta get some work done running around way to much.Heres Wesley's 1954 Vick.See earlier posts where it started it transformation in to a mild custom.

Finished welding the frontend up in to one piece. Also rounded the grille opening and finished grafting on the 50 olds fender ends and lamps.Did some work to the fenders and rounded the hood corners. The look will be similar to the Alexander brothers Victorian. Now its time for grinding and filler work.

A new suit for the wagon thats all bizness.......

My buddy Charlie picked this 1952 plymouth suburban wagon up bout 5 or 6 years ago.It was a pretty straight old car ran like a top with a flat head six.Over the last few years he has done the Interior and split the manifolds and some maintence here and there. When he got it it was about 14 ifferent colors so I covered it with your basic hot rod black..We were growing tired of it looking that way so a threw a quick blue satin and pearl base job on it with a silver flake roof this week. The car is orig and very presentable. At a later date we are gonna do her up right but for now this will do.Also the addition of the wide whites helped alot.

It was still the plan to go.So it was on like Donkey Kong.We spent the day running the grounds with our young daughters as navigators.
